Customer Project
PROJECT
GOPA is one of the world's leading consulting groups in the field of international development cooperation. With numerous specialized companies and thousands of projects delivered across the globe, the group has built an exceptional reputation for technical expertise and international experience. Over the years, however, the organization had evolved into a complex brand landscape consisting of multiple identities, making the overall brand difficult to understand and communicate consistently. The objective was to create a unified brand identity that would reflect the group's collective strength while preserving the expertise and individuality of its specialized companies.
CHALLENGE
The group's greatest strength remained largely invisible. While each individual company possessed outstanding expertise, there was no shared brand identity capable of representing the entire GOPA Group on an international level.
The objective was to create a brand that would be more globally recognizable, contemporary, and compelling—without compromising the independence of the individual companies or the organization's cultural values. The ultimate goal was to transform a collection of individual brands into one strong, unified identity that communicates the collective expertise, scale, and global impact of the entire GOPA Group.
STRATEGIC INSIGHT
The positioning process revealed that GOPA is far more than an international consulting group. Commercial success and social responsibility are not opposing objectives—they are mutually reinforcing and together form the core of the brand. GOPA combines outstanding professional expertise with a strong commitment to creating positive and lasting impact around the world. This unique combination became the foundation of the new brand strategy, positioning GOPA as a trusted partner that delivers both sustainable business value and meaningful societal progress.
SOLUTION
Based on these strategic insights, UNICORN developed a brand prototype for the future GOPA master brand. The project included:
- Development of an international brand positioning
- Definition of the company's purpose, vision, and mission
- Creation of a clear and scalable brand architecture
- Simplification of the group's complex organizational and brand structure
- Development of a modern corporate design system
- Design of a visual and communication framework that seamlessly connects business excellence with social impact
- Development of a comprehensive brand prototype as the strategic foundation for the future international management and evolution of the GOPA master brand
The result was a forward-looking brand concept that unites the group's diverse expertise under one coherent identity—strengthening international recognition while providing the flexibility to support future growth and continued development.
IMPACT
The result was the transformation of a complex group of companies into a clearly positioned international master brand. The new strategy provides a shared sense of direction for employees, clients, and partners alike while making the organization's common purpose and values visible across all markets. At the same time, it establishes the foundation for consistent brand management throughout the entire group, strengthening GOPA as a globally recognized brand for sustainable development. The unified brand identity enhances international visibility, reinforces trust, and creates a scalable platform for future growth and collaboration across all companies within the group.

Why Corporate Values Almost Never Change Behaviour.
Almost every company has them. Values such as trust, respect, responsibility or innovation. They appear on websites, hang in entrance areas or form part of every corporate presentation. Yet they rarely change the way people behave. ...
BRAND IS NOT A MARKETING TOOL. IT IS A LEADERSHIP TOOL.
Almost every company eventually asks itself the same question: How can we become better? Companies want to grow, enter new business areas, operate more efficiently or respond to changing markets. The desire for change is understandable. Yet this is often exactly where the real problem begins. ...
The Most Important Strategic Question Is One Few Companies Ask.
Many mid-sized companies have excellent products, committed employees and decades of experience. Yet there is often a sense that more should be possible. Not because they lack expertise. But because the energy within the organisation is not moving in the same direction. ...
